FAQ

Children and Grand Mother

What should I expect at a session? Expect to relax and have fun.

What should I/We wear? 1. wear what you feel looks good on you. If you feel good about how you look, then you will feel more confident while taking portraits. Take into consideration both what colors look good with your skin as well as what style/cut of clothing looks best on you.2. Othe one hand, we prefer that you wear solids. This allows the portrait to focus on your face and not be distracted by the clothes. However, sometimes you have chosen an outfit because it expresses who you are. This is especially true with Seniors. So feel free to lay aside those boring solids and express yourself!!3. Don’t wear shirts with wide necks that show your bra strap or a camisole strap. These straps while possibly fashionable end up tacky and distracting in a portrait. Your eye is immediately pulled away from the face when these straps show.4. Families: Don’t feel like you have to exactly match; everyone wearing a blue shirt and tan pants. Feel free to mix and match. Maybe Dad wears a turquiose shirt and black pants. You wears a turquoise dress with a black sweater. And your daughter wears a black dress with turquoise leggings and black boots. The point is clothes do not have to exactly match in order for the portrait to look good.

    5. If you are unsure if your clothing choices will photograph well, please feel free to call and visit with us about it. We have clients do this all the time.

Should I bring anything? Please feel free to bring anything that expresses who you are. Bring a childs favorite toy or book. If Dad and Son are yo-yo artists, bring them. We can take some action shots. Look around at the ordinary daily stuff and ask yourself what makes us, us? Seniors: Please bring your school jacket (even if you do not want to wear it.) and your senior ring. Please bring anything that expresses your interests and hobbies. Do you love soccor or football? Do play an instrument? Girls, do you love shoes? Guys, do you love your car? Let’s explore how you are and create portraits that tell others about you.

What should I expect after a session? After we are finished editing your portriaits, we will post them in a gallery and email you a link. You are welcome to share this link with friends and family. Email or call us with your order.
